My dearest readers,
Welcome to an amalgamation of my interests—writing and psychology—in one beautifully written mess. If you are like me, pondering the mysteries of the words you said a mere six months ago, I believe there is a cause and a fix. And get this: it’s all in one!
American public education teaches us that the brain is enigmatic, elusive, and if you live in the South, most likely bashed in through high school football concussions. While the prior is unerring, I believe there is more to understand about our sovereign organ through human interactions and vice versa. Often, the most basic and stereotypical actions could be explained in a research paper, but how do the complexities of statistics apply to the life of a teenager?
That is, without a doubt, the reason I write today; to demystify research into comprehensible and applicable psychology that any adolescent could take actionable steps to utilize. Neuroscience doesn’t have to be the presiding career path, but a way to utilize scientific principles in the everyday. There is an algorithm to everything a human does, the way we act, speak, even breathe—a human algorithm.
If you would like to hear these in the form of an email, submit your address above. These will be bi or tri-weekly blog posts detailing all types of topics without the millennial-mom-esque writing style. Follow @our_human_algorithm on instagram, tiktok, threads, and twitter.
Yours Truly,
syd
